Our family’s journey through youth and travel sports spans decades. We’ve experienced the game from multiple perspectives—as athletes, parents, and supporters.

Our background includes competitive softball and baseball at the youth, travel, high school, and collegiate levels. Along the way, we’ve seen the tremendous opportunities that travel sports can provide, but we’ve also witnessed the challenges families face when trying to evaluate teams, coaches, costs, development philosophies, and overall fit.

As parents, we’ve navigated tryouts, tournament weekends, coaching changes, varying levels of competition, and the difficult decisions that come with finding the right environment for a young athlete. We’ve experienced organizations in multiple regions and understand firsthand how different every program can be.

What became clear is that families often struggle to find reliable, unbiased information when researching organizations. Most available information comes directly from the teams themselves, making it difficult to compare options and understand what the experience is really like.

That’s why we created Know The Pitch—to provide transparent information, organization profiles, reviews, and resources that help families make more informed decisions about their youth sports journey.
